Noise No. 9 - Choirfrog

Edward, I have some clothes ready for Nina now. I've had them ready for a while now, but I just only got the chance to sit down and let you know. I'll come by later and drop them off.

So. The Game. I guess it can't be that bad, or that different. There's still a GM and we're at his mercy. I hope we don't have to fight him, though. That... I never liked the idea of having to eventually go up against those Reapers, and I certainly wouldn't want to go up against this guy. And the fact that I'm competing against Nina... really doesn't help. What the hell is he thinking, putting a four-year-old in a game like this?

Oh, Allelujah or Hallelujah whichever one is around? I still don't know your sizes~

That's one team mate down. I hope the others don't mind introducing themselves. Nathan, Tidus, and Makubex--that's you guys.

Consider yourself lucky, then.

At least it's an easy one, though, right? I mean... I don't want to think about how exactly alike this game is to the Reapers' Game, in case I end up dying again.

Well, rule one is that you have to be dead--it's the only way to get into the Game. Not long after we die, we're given the option by the Reapers to join in the Game to be given a second chance at life. Obviously, not everyone here is dead and we don't really have a choice whether we can participate or not, so I guess there's two differences.

Rule two is that in order to become a Player in the Game, we have to give up something we hold dear to us.

Rule three is that we have to make a pact with someone so we can fight the Noise and use our psychs with the pins we have. Without a partner, we can't fight. There's a similarity, since we're in teams in this game. I don't know about fighting though.

Rule four: We have 7 days to play, and there's a mission to complete every day. The good thing about that is that if one team completes the mission before the rest of the teams do, all the Players that survived that day pass.

Rule five isn't one that's told, but a lot of the Players find out the hard way--if you're Erased while you're playing the Game, you don't come back. At all. That's why everyone fights so hard to stay alive in the game, even if it means not letting anyone else get ahead of them.

... Rule five is the one I'm worried the most about.

But this is a different game.

Maybe, but if the gods are involved with this, who's to say they won't try it? Especially since these ones aren't that... nice, to say the least.

I'm not letting my guard down, Leon. I've... seen what happens when people do.

It's always better to be prepared for the worst anyway, right?

... I won't let it happen.

... is it bad that I just went 'aw' at that?

... Thanks, Leon. Really.

you're making him embarrassed. :<

Yeah.
